The Longines Heritage Chronograph Anniversary Edition Ref. L2.776.4.21.3
is an impressive homage to the long watchmaking tradition of Longines and was released to celebrate the company's 180th anniversary.
It combines classic vintage design with modern technology and is aimed particularly at lovers of traditional chronographs. The 40-millimeter stainless steel case houses a white lacquered dial with Roman numerals, with the "XII" in striking red—a charming detail reminiscent of historical dials.
Blued steel hands and two symmetrically arranged subdials at 3 and 9 o'clock underscore the classic look. A special feature of this watch is the monopusher chronograph mechanism: starting, stopping, and resetting the chronograph are all done with a single pusher integrated into the crown.
At work inside is the automatic caliber L788, developed by Longines based on an ETA movement and featuring a column wheel—a technical feature otherwise primarily found in high-quality chronographs. The power reserve is approximately 54 hours. The watch is complemented by a black leather strap with a pin buckle, further emphasizing its elegant character.
